The ultimate dis to Petty
Five guitars stolen from Tom Petty’s rehearsal space in April were recovered by police a week later, swiped as the band was preparing to start a world tour. Petty offered up a “no questions asked” $7,500 reward for information. The guitars included a 1967 Blonde Rickenbacker and a Fender Broadcaster, and Tom posted photos on his site. One man was arrested in connection with the theft. Petty’s one of the most respected musicians of our time. Disrespectful!

Bad news for Tom Petty! Five guitars belonging to Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers have been stolen from a Southern California soundstage where the band has been rehearsing for an upcoming tour.
