Dead before they win

Posted on by skye.sylvain

Chad Kroeger is convinced Nickelback is so despised by critics, they’ll be dead before they receive official recognition. Attacked by  The Black Keys’ Patrick Carney, who blamed fans’ acceptance of Nickelback as “the biggest band in the world” has killed off rock ‘n’ roll. Kroeger is adamant they are so disliked it’ll be years before they win a major award. He tells the Edmonton Journal, “We may be dead by then but I think the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will probably show up the same time as our first Grammy.”

Nickelback blamed for all of today’s bad music

Posted on by skye.sylvain

Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney has sparked a war with Nickelback after blaming the band for the current state of music. In the new issue of Rolling Stone magazine, Carney says, “Rock ‘n’ roll is dying because people became OK with Nickelback being the biggest band in the world.  They became OK with the idea that the biggest rock band in the world is always going to be crap and therefore you should never try to be the biggest rock band in the world. Bleep that! “Rock ‘n’ roll is the music I feel the most passionately about, and I don’t like to see it bleeping ruined and spoon-fed down our throats in this watered-down, post-grunge crap, horrendous bleep. When people start lumping us into that kind of bleep, it’s like, ‘Bleep you,’ honestly.”  Don’t hold back, dude!
