Once again we’re getting our version of another reality franchise – OLN announced they’ll be starting production on Storage Wars Canada in May. Its already been greenlit for 36 half hour episodes, and they’re going to be filming it all around Ontario.
Of course this is a natural fit since, according to one of the producers, “Canada is filled with dynamic treasure hunters and passionate collectors that will bring this homegrown series to life, and we are excited to give Canadians this opportunity.”
And there’s the bottom line, you have a chance to become the next big thing in reality TV if you’ve always felt you could pick up a bargain or two during the storage locker auctions. You can apply by sending a resume, photo, and brief description of themselves to storagetv@propertelevision.com.
And if you’re thinking you don’t know enough to get in on the collecting game, you won’t be alone…although it helps if you do have access to a chicken car.

Why Canada is The Superior Athletic Nation
Earlier on the show I responded to Carla for an email in which she asked why Canada always has so fewer medals than China or the U.S.A in the Olympics.
For the first time in nearly 27 years I attempted to do some math to break it down for Carla and argue that Canada is actually the superior athletic nation…

Wave ‘em if you got ‘em

February 15 was declared National Flag of Canada Day in 1996. It marks the day in 1965 when our red and white maple leaf flag was first raised over Parliament Hill in Ottawa, and indeed, hundreds of communities across Canada. Red and white were designated as Canada’s official colours in 1921 by His Majesty King George V. This is a perfect opportunity to celebrate our flag and what it stands for: a Dominion that is the envy of the world. Canadian Heritage
