Katy Perry has a dramatic image overhaul. Famous for bright, colourful outfits and playful candy-inspired accessories, she’s dropped the cupcake dresses and electric blue hair for a new gothic look. At the NARM Music Biz 2012 Awards in Culver City, California on Thursday night she wore a floor-length black gown with transparent stripes and deep purple hair, smoky eye make-up, and plum lips. She won Artist of the Year award.
Canadian band makes 500 Greatest Albums Of All Time list

Rolling Stone magazine’s authoritative “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” list, places them among the greats of popular music. Montreal’s Arcade Fire’s album, Funeral is among the 30 additions this April. “Things get clearer as the years pass. If you held this poll in 10 years, say, Arcade Fire could be a lot higher. Reputation and time definitely help an album, especially with pollers like ours.” There was plenty of heated debate among the journalists and editors who came up with the final list, with hundreds of reporters, executives and musicians involved in the earlier surveys. “We had arguments in the office,” Rolling Stone said.
Controversially named walk in London this afternoon

One of the city’s most controversial walks started at 1:30. The second annual London Solidarity Slut Walk was around the downtown core this afternoon, protesting against sexual harassment and violence. It began in Toronto last year, after a police officer made a statement at a safety presentation saying women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized.

Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee was featured in People magazine’s sexiest man of the year in 2010, but wasn’t the cover boy – that would be Green Lantern actor Ryan Reynolds – but he was featured in the Sexiest Man issue showing off his “man cave,” and said what makes you sexy is “when you’re just yourself. When you’re trying to be somebody else or when you’re trying too hard, I don’t think it’s sexy. Sometimes I feel sexy. Sometimes I don’t.” He adds that “there’s certain days where you’re like ‘Man, I’m lookin’ rough today, Tommy. What’s up, bro?’” But he also says there are days he’ll tell his girlfriend that “I can’t wait ’til tomorrow. She’s like, ‘why, babe?’ I go, ‘I just keep getting better looking every day. It’s the craziest thing!”
