THE BACHELOR CANADA

 (TORONTO – February 21, 2012) Love is in the air as The Bachelor Canada hits the road in search of Toronto’s most eligible bachelorettes. Citytv’s nationwide casting tour for The Bachelor Canada is calling on all eligible women looking for love, romance and adventure to audition for what could be the most important blind date of their lives. 

Toronto auditions take place on Saturday, Feb. 25 and Sunday, Feb. 26 at the InterContinental Toronto Centre Hotel. 

Toronto is the fourth stop on a nationwide casting tour that also visits Vancouver, Calgary, Winnipeg, Montreal and Halifax. The Bachelor Canada begins principal photography this spring and will debut on Citytv this fall.

TIME:

Feb. 25 - Auditions run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Doors open at 10 a.m.

Feb. 26 – Auditions run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Doors open at 9 a.m.

HOW TO AUDITION:
To be eligible for The Bachelor Canada, participants must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident of Canada and over the age of majority. Participants unable to attend the casting tour can submit their application online.

The beach has its very own unique yet simple system of rules. The rules are not based on economic status, family background or how good or bad you look in a bathing suit. The rules are based on being the early bird ..

Prime real estate on the beach is snapped up by the folks who are eager enough to get up early and mark their territory; first come, first served. Get there early and you get the best seat in the sun.

Protection of said spot is fierce. You don’t dare leave your spot for fear that someone who slept in because they were out late the night before, could swoop in like a vulture and steal said spot. These people are detested in beach culture and are not to be trusted. Leaving a towel on the beach chair is acceptable for marking the territory if the real estate is within vision, but a lower ranking member of the tribe is often assigned ‘watcher of the spot’ when the grand pubah or queen of the beach has to leave to go to the bathroom, or in our case, the bar.

Wouldn’t life be easier if we were to all buy into the rules of beach culture in our everyday lives? First one on the road owns it, first one at the gym gets their pick of good machines, first one in the movie theatre gets the best seat, first one into work gets the good office, with the view … to look outside and daydream about being at the beach …

On second thought, maybe the margaritas made it seem like a better idea than it really is…

Universal Studios hand picked Ken to star in their next movie. Here’s a sneak peak!

If there is one place the blue hair kind of fits, it’s Universal Studios Florida…specifically Seuss Landing because I look exactly like “Thing One”. Yesterday, I got a chance to ride the Jurassic Park River Adventure and ended up sitting beside a youngster (probably around 8 years old), his older sister and their dad. The little boy was seriously staring at the hair.

Ken: “Something looks weird, doesn’t it?”
Kid: Nothing, just that stone silent stare
Gotta step up the funny…
Ken: “We don’t get wet on this ride, do we?” (Funny, because it’s a water ride)
Kid: Nothing.

Ok, this kid is in for it. I’m an entertainer damn it! This kid paid good money to come and be entertained. I spent the next 3 minutes cracking my best jokes for 8 year olds. But nothing more than a polite smile. Finally, we reached the end of the ride and young man clearly had a great time because he’s talking his dad’s ear off in what might be…French! I’m not sure, but it certainly wasn’t English. Nice work Ken. You’re an idiot!
