
“The idea of moving to New York and making a record, there’s something romantic and rock ‘n’ roll about that,” said Finger 11 guitarist James Black.
Singer Scott Anderson: “The first few weeks we would walk there and just be taken in by the entire city. And then after week two or three we’re like … ‘We’re not walking through that Times Square traffic. We know better. We learned the subway.” But none of the band members fell so in love with the city that they wanted to move there. “I used to think so,” said Anderson. “I’m glad I have a strong sense of what it is to live in one of the best cities in the world for sure. I don’t know if it’s for me though. I live in Burlington, Ontario so it was a bit of a shock. Everybody else in the band lives in Toronto. I’m the only holdout.”
