
Carlos Santana has gone Vegas, setting up residency at Mandalay Bay’s House Of Blues for a two year residency that started in May. He played Molson Amphitheatre in July for 12 000 fans. At 64, the Mexican-born, San Francisco-raised guitarist is still one of the best in the world – with a 10-piece band that played Toronto for two hours and 35 minutes of Latin, African and jazz-infused rock. “I am still, at heart, a hippie from the ‘60s,” said the man who performed at Woodstock in 1969. “I still believe that if you’re not part of the solution, you’re part of the problem.”
