Sheryl Crow’s convinced the benign tumour medics found in her brain earlier this year developed because of constant cell phone use. She started forgetting the lyrics to the songs and struggling with simple tasks, fearing early onset Alzheimer’s. She had an MRI in June. During an interview with American newswoman Katie Couric on Monday, she said, “I say it’s in my cell phone area, and there are no doctors that will confirm that, but I did have a conversation with (top American neurosurgeon) Sanjay Gupta about it. In the early, early days when I was promoting my first record, I did hours and hours of phoners (phone interviews), on those old, archaic cell phones.” She survived breast cancer in 2006.
