It was all an April Fool’s joke that Bruno Mars ‘came out’ as a gay man.  The rumours were “completely fabricated” supposedly during an interview on a Chicago radio station. The false confession was picked up by CNN’s iReport blog, which quoted Bruno as saying: “The timing is bad. I hadn’t realized it was April Fool’s Day, but it’s been pointed out to me, and I don’t want to go too public with this.” The quotes were made up. CNN’s article had to be removed from its website. Mars is famous as a ladies’ man and even posed on the cover of the Playboy magazine for the publication’s Sex and Music issue.
