As 2011 comes to a close, it is time to reflect on all of the lessons that were packed into the year. The deeds and misdeeds of the rich and the famous can help to teach us all a thing or two, one in particular that is worth mentioning, again…
I recall the actions of the dear Mr. Weiner … Oh, the things you have taught us…
I remember a while back, I was out with some friends and ran into an old flame. Although there were no sparks, it was nice to see him after all these years, until the next day when I woke up and there was a text message and an attachment.
The text read ‘do you miss this?’, and the attachment was a photo. He took it himself. All by himself apparently.
Seriously …
There was no ‘great to see you after all this time’ message, or a ‘you still look pretty’ message. I got a picture of ‘it’.
Ewwwa.
I momentarily had to resist the urge to post the picture on facebook, but I took some pity on him. Perhaps, he just didn’t get it. Perhaps a lot of guys just don’t get it.
Let’s be clear with this lesson; there may be exceptions, but I speak for most ladies when I say that in that as much as we are huge fans of that part of the male body, we don’t really want to see it in a frame on a table beside the bed, or used as a screensaver! If we do receive a picture like that, the chances that it will find its way onto the internet, are very, very good.
You’d think that after the incident involving the unfortunately named Mr. Weiner, that the gentlemen would learn. Maybe that is what the kids are doing these days, but as a public service, I’d like to thank Mr. Weiner, for bringing this practise to light so there can be no mistake; Texting ‘IT’ is not hot…
Or maybe that’s just me…
